Greetings and welcome to day 10! Today we visit the magnificent archeological site of ancient Olympia, home to the original Olympic games of Greece. There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get started!

Welcome to Day 9 of my trip through Greece! Today is fairly light on historical sites and heavy on travel. The one stop we did make was in Lefkáda to visit the island of Skorpios where Aristotle Onassis built his famous private retreat. There were still plenty of pretty pictures, so come and take a look!

Opa! It seems like this tour has just whizzed right on by. It’s already day 8! Today we explore Corfu Town and journey up to the Achílleion Palace where we will see some great artwork and learn about the tragic life of Empress Elizabeth of Austria. Later on, we have a special dinner planned at the Tripa Taverna – the oldest taverna on Corfu. Vamos!

Ah… the long, torturous day(s) of flying. I got up at 5:30 am. I protested, but my mom insisted that we HAD to be at the airport at least 2 hours early, more if possible. I thought this was ridiculous. I’ve never encountered a situation where I needed TWO WHOLE HOURS to get through security and check in at the gate. That was before this day. I stand corrected.
